For Preschool and first Grade: Monday, August 24th, 2026

AP Courses & Exams
Advanced Placement (AP) classes are part of the academic program at GISW:
11th grade
In 11th grade, the German syllabi in Physics, English and German are at such a high academic standard that they are considered to be at AP level. The students are well prepared to take the AP exams upon completing these regular classes. The AP exams are offered at the German International School Washington D.C..
12th grade
In 12th grade, the German curricula in Physics, English, German, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, French, and Spanish are at such a high academic standard that they are considered to be at AP level. The students are well prepared to take the AP exams upon completing these regular classes. The AP exams are offered at GISW.
